Sarah Romo

Sarah Romo is a senior at Concordia University, Irvine. In May 2006, Sarah will graduate with a BA in business administration with a double emphasis in management and marketing, and a minor in communications. She knows this extensive degree will get the high job placement she wants in a prestigious public relations agency. She has worked management and customer relations positions for over seven years and wants to currently move into the public relations field. At San Lorenzo Valley High she wrote for The Claw, the school’s newspaper for two years. At Concordia Sarah has studied communications for over three years and found a great interest in public speaking and writing. Sarah has been a member of the dean’s list for the past two semesters, and is also a student athlete. She competes in cross-country and track for the Concordia Eagles. On top of athletics Sarah is the president of Fellowship of Christian Athletes and is currently looking for an internship or part-time work.

Erika Ruiterman

Erika Ruiterman will graduate in May, 2006 with her BA in Business Administration with an emphasis in management, from Concordia University Irvine. She has worked in the hospitality and restaurant industry for eleven years. Ruiterman has played a significant role in creating a positive work environment as well as increasing sales and profits throughout her management career. She understands the desires and needs within both the hospitality and restaurant industries. Erika is excellent at creating a company focus to boost a sales, morale, profit, and overall company image. Her future goal is to do work for a major hotel chain creating new brands as well as creating new markets and trends for current hotel brands within the major chain.

Kari McCarver

Kari McCarver is a founding associate of Newport Coast Public Relations. Kari’s expertise is in journalism, media relations, and government affairs. Some of the companies that she has worked with in the past are: T.J.X. Inc., Pepper Tree Inc., and the City of Los Angeles. In 2001 Kari was awarded 1^st place feature article, at the LAJTA write-off competition. In 2004 she served as a staff writer for the Concordia University campus newspaper, Hilltop Herald. For the 05’-06 school year Kari will be serving as president over the Concordia University campus organization, Cross Cultural Link (CCL). CCL’s main function is creating a home-away-from home to international students.

In May of 08’ Kari will have received a Bachelors of Arts in Communications with an emphasis of Mass Communications. Her current expertise include public speaking, speech writing, news writing, and business writing. In her spare time Kari enjoys African-American literature, water aerobics, bowling, shopping, and spending time with her family.

Elizabeth Villela

Elizabeth Villela was destined to work in the fashion world, as when she was younger you would find her cutting out magazine pages to In Style and Vogue then remaking her own magazine and calling it "Bolsita". She attended the University of Oregon for two years, where earned a degree in art. Then transferred to Concordia University Irvine where she is currently earning her degree in communication. She has worked as a concierge for the last four years at Los Cab Racquet and Sports Club, where she is in constant contact with people and dealing with their everyday complaints. She speaks Spanish as well as excels in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe In Design, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel. In the future she plans to work as an Editor for a prestigious fashion magazine company such as In Style, Vogue, Allure or Glamour. So look out fashion word, she's the next big thing.
