Starwood
Employees Deliver in Time of Need
IRVINE, CALIF.—9/26/2005—The
Starwood Hotels & Resort Worldwide Inc. is accepting donations for victims of Hurricane Katrina who from their associates. Starwood
employees can donate through their Human Resource Department by check or money order
Hurricane Katrina delivered a devastating
blow to Starwood hotels within the French Quarter and Downtown New Orleans area. About 10,000 Starwood Employees
have been left without homes and jobs. Starwood hopes to collect one million dollars to donate to effected employees. $100,000
has been collected for the victims so far. Starwood assures that all monies donated will go directly to victimized employees
and their immediate families.
Any amount of money will be accepted
in this effort. To donate money to the Starwood Hurricane Katrina Relief Fund, visit the Human Resources Office or call
(800) 445-8989 for more information. Employees can make a one-time donation to the victims; all proceeds are tax deductible. Employees
affected by Hurricane Katrina should call (800) 446-9090 to begin receiving assistance.
